I checked with Kat's Heaters and they determine which heater to use by the OEM parts that are available for your vehicle. Your best option is going to be an electric heater. The other options are heaters that use heated vehicle coolant which means you would have to have your 2016 Dodge Caravan running to maintain the heat.

I wasn't able to find the location of a factory block heater cord on your 2009 Kia Borrego. If you weren't able to find anything in the areas you checked then your vehicle might not be equipped with one. You can verify this by checking with a local Kia dealer and providing them with your VIN. You'll want to unplug the block heater before you start the engine for a couple reasons. Mainly so that you don't accidentally drive off with it plugged in, but also so that the extension cord would possibly get wrapped up in moving parts or hot components. Having the block heater on while the engine is running won't necessarily cause any adverse effects though.
